Inside The Studio: It's A Quickie

I am happy to say that with this month's blog and it's corresponding newsletter, that I do have one more event to add to the calendar! I will be attending the Spring Shopping Bonanza in Holdredge on April 25th. I've also managed to keep myself rather busy this month.

I have gotten most of the Spring Wildlife Prints made and posted to my shop finally. It took me a bit to get the photos take of them, in part because I got most of them done but ran out of paper and had to wait for that to get in. It finally came the other day so I will be spending this week getting those put together so I can get them listed as well.

I finally, after what felt like forever, finished a pet portrait that I have been working on. It took me far longer then I would have like but I am finally done with it and will be getting shipped out soon. I want to make sure the varnish is good and dry before I package it.

Pet Portrait Painting

I am still working away on the mouse painting. I was bouncing between in and the dog portrait so it's slowly coming along. My goal is to have it finished in time to take it with to the upcoming events where it will be available for purchase. Over this most recent weekend I did finish the painting part of it and now it's just layers of isolation layers, then the varnish to finish it up and adding the attachment to hang it. We'll see how fast I can get it finished. Hopefully it won't be too long but we'll see what happens.

Mouse Painting While Still In Progress

I also have a digital drawing I have gone back to have nearly a year and half. I had completely lost motivation with her for the longest time but that spark is back! Working on her has also inspired me to work on a couple other pin up inspired pieces that I have been thinking about constantly for nearly a year! I also started a new sticker sheet design that I am going to be working on getting done as quickly as possible because I would love to have it with me at Soulfest. It is technically an 18+ sticker sheet so that will be a little bit interesting to package and handle but I am having so much fun with it. It is techinally crystals and precious stone but the shapes are the part that make it adult. I know that it probably won't be a huge seller but sometimes you just have to make something kinda dumb and just go with it.

I have also been spending a lot of time working on making sure every image on my website has alt text added to the images. I was in playing with some things and noticed I had a punch that I had missed and so I have been spending my free time working on that. I also changed out the colors of my newsletter as well. I will always love my black and orange theme I've had since I started sending them out, but I have also grown tired of it lately as well and decided with last months newsletter being the start of a new year was the perfect time to change it up.
