Inside The Studio: Let's Make It A Quickie

 First and foremost I would like to thank everyone at Soulfest for such a wonderful event. I met some many wonderful people and had such a great time. It was such an incredible day and I had a lot of fun. I was so nervous that I wouldn't quite be right for the event at first but everyone made me feel like I belonged. I can definitely see myself attending again in the future.

But with that being said, the new round of chaos that is preparing for an outdoors event. I am giving myself a little bit of time to breathe and relax between shows but I am definitely still working away at preparing for my next show which is Sutherland's Makers Market on Saturday, September 27th.

I can't believe how much I was able to accomplish in the lead up for Soulfest that this update feels a little short. I got all of my current prints made into their 5" x 7" like I've been wanting to for a while now. Made a new bookmark design available as a laminated version, made labels for my new products and got the charms fully packaged. The journals still need their labels but they will be getting printed and cut out soon. I've been working on a mini Halloween collection of the mimics. I'll be spending this week painting the ghost and mummy mimics. From how much experimenting I had to do with the ghost it's looking like they will not be available at Sutherland's show unfortunately. Things just were not working out the best for me especially since I started out nearly forgetting a key feature of the mimics...they're ability to open up and be used. This new method does appear to be working though so I'm just happy I was able to come up with some sort of plan for it.

I'm also working on making finishing up a new coloring zine! This zine will feature some my Spring Wildlife pieces turned into line art. I've got most of the art finished, two animals left, and then I'll start working on printing them out. I've also got two sticker sheets ordered! After a year I finally finished my Halloween Boo Bees and cleaned up my old Rocky Horror Picture Show tattoo flash sticker sheet and they should, if everything goes well, be here either Thursday or Friday. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that they come because I would love to have them available for this weekend. If not they will definitely be at the Triple Bee's Sip & Shop Pink Party.

Triple Bee's Sip & Shop Pink Party is the show I've most recently signed up to and is October 4th. With that I'm going to end this blog so I can work on getting stuff done for this weekend.
